Gift of Joy Dinner

This Christmas season, Fellowship Church will be hosting the Gift of Joy Dinner. The Gift of Joy Banquet is a Christmas celebration with drama, creative movement, children’s choir activities and more. We also know that the Christmas season can be difficult financially for everyone. What about families who can’t afford to provide for their children? The Gift of Joy Banquet will pair a life group from our church with a family in great financial need. These families will be presented with gifts for their children, provision for their family, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Make this Christmas about more than you… You can be involved today!

How can you be involved?

1. Pray!:

Please take the time to read 2 Corinthians 8 & 9. This is one of the main passages the Lord has laid on my heart regarding Gift of Joy. Afterward, pray as the Spirit leads. Here are some suggestions:

• Praise God for the “indescribable gift” of His Son, His grace, and sacrifice for us. (9:15 & 8:9)
• Pray that your overflowing JOY in the Lord and His gospel would “well up in rich generosity” toward those in need and that it would be seen as a privilege and not grudgingly. (8:2 & 4; 9:5 & 7)
• Thank and acknowledge the Lord for being the Source and Giver of all we have (9:8-11) and ask Him how He wants you to share of what He has given you. (8:12-1 3)

 

2. Donate!

Every penny donated to this event will go to the 20 families that are in need this Christmas season. 

• $10 pays for one persons meal
• $20 pays for one gift for a child in need
• $5 pays for one of the Gift Basket items
